If you are looking for an adventure in the Northern California area I would highly recommend visiting the Lake Shasta Caverns! Located in Mt. Shasta, 900 feet above Shasta Lake is a mountain of caves waiting for you to come to explore and see for yourself just how amazing nature is!
The 2 hour tour starts down at the lake where you climb down stairs to get to the docking area to take the catamaran across the beautiful turquoise Shasta Lake and to the bottom of the mountain to take a shuttle bus up to the entrance of the caves. The journey taken to the cave entrance is an adventure in itself with the boat ride across the lake, the bus tour up the mountain, the stunning views of the mountain and lake, and nature’s little visitors.
The best time to go in my opinion would be late spring or summer because of how beautiful the lake is with sunny skies and the natural “a/c” 70 degrees temperature in the caves. When you visit you will definitely need to bring your smartwatch! With over 600 stair steps you will definitely exceed your step count that day and your goal for stair steps!
